As I've noted before, I'm not going crazy with the priming. Mainly I want to cover up any small scrapes or scratches, and in locations where water may sit.
So I just put a couple of light coats of Rustoleum on the pieces.
I left the trailing edge of the rudder skins unprimed so the adhesive for bonding has something to stick to.
