- Final drilled all the #30 holes in the spar assemblies.
- Cleco'd on the skin & final drilled all the #40 holes. I left the protective blue film on for this, but I fully removed the film from both sides afterward. The longer it stays on, the harder it is to get off.
- Took everything apart. Next step is to debur, and dimple/countersink where required.
Note: There was nothing in the assembly of the vertical stab instructions that said to install the fiberglass tip, even though it's shown on the plans. I didn't look to see if that happens at a different point in the construction, but I'll assume so for now. So I did not drill the holes at the top of the skin, where the tip will get secured.
