Brief Description:  Routing Nose Ribs

My wife bought me a new drill press that is capable of a low rpm speed of 300 rpm. This allowed me to use a fly cutter for the lightening holes in the nose rib form. After making the first lightening hole, I decided that I didn't like my forms and decided to make new ones (again). There were lessens learned in making the first two sets that I wanted to apply to a new set of forms. I am very pleased with the way they turned out and the alignment of the bushings were dead on. I attribute this to having a drill press now that does not have any play in the spindle.
I began routing with three blanks at a time and increased it to five. Routing the blanks produces an enourmous amount of aluminum shavings so I made a makeshift partitian to keep the shavings from going all over the shop. I did not finish all of them and I'm about half way through them and they are starting to look like airplane parts.
I claimed four hours but in reality, I have spent double that but want to keep the hours logged that are actually productive and not those required for re-work.
