Brief Description:  Part Two Wiring of Instrument Panel

Photo 1: This little tool can be bought at Radio Shack and a variety of tool distributors. It is used to strip the insulation off the wire bundle that is supplied with the wiring bundle kit from Mike Harrison.Photo 2 shows the outer case of insulator material cut clean around wire bundles inside. By adjusting the depth of the screw setting on top of the stripping tool a person can cut off this outer layer of insulation without cutting the insulation on the wires inside. Photo 3 shows the wires with the outer bundle insulation removed. The foil shown on the left side of the bundle is simply torn off at the edge of the bundle. It wraps the wires inside, and is a good shield to any induced noise from the electrical or ignition system. There is also a bare ground wire inside this bundle that I plan to connect to a ground terminal both at the back of the ignition switch area, as well as at the cannon plug connector body.
