Today I spent 8 hours working on the Challenger after a long break away due to my job situation requiring me to travel 125 miles round trip .... I'm just too tired when I get home to do much. I'll spend tomorrow completing the wiring on the aircraft and prepare for initial engine run up tests.Photo one shows the chafe wrap I have put on the wires from the engine and the fuel line as well. This is a high temprature wrap made for use in the turbine sections of jet prop engines. I decided to use it on the Challenger to keep all the lines safe from vibration & chaffing in flight. I also have put rubber protection boots on all the electrical connections from the battery. You can see it [white] on the power connection to the starter. Photo 2 is a view of the bird sitting in my shop. It feel great to ahve sufficient lighting & warmth now while working on the Challenger. The old shop was much bigger, and I really do miss the hydraulic shear & the 12 foot break .... but the $400.00 / month heating bills and no lighting are not missed.Photo 3 here I am making funny engine noises while dogfighting the FOO fighters .....
