One of the things that happens, especially during warm weather months when the shop door is open for fresh air, is that friends will come calling. This is a given for amateur airplane building so get used to it.
What to do?
Well, I put them to work, otherwise too much build time is taken up just telling old hanger tales.
Photo one is our "work party" where I have the fellas deburring the edges of the parts to be assembled.
Photo two is more "work party" though by now it is beginning to degenerate into a good old BS session ... but then that is an essential part of aviation life; if ya can't fly em, talk about flyin them. I'm on the left, Peter in the center, and Davis on the right side. My wife was taking the photo for "posterity" as proof that we did occasionally work building the plane.
Photo three is an aside to show how I make marks on tubing; I have a flexible plastic sheet I bend around the tube at the mark location and draw the line around where it is needed...
