Brief Description:  Calibration of Irons.

Photo one is the first temp setting for the big iron, 225 degrees F.

Photo two is the bottom side of the hobby iron and applying the heat sink paste. Just a small dab will do the trick. This silicon based paste is available at Radio Shack for a few dollars, and transfers the heat directly to the thermometer. The thermometer shown can be purchased from Poly Fiber for about $3.50 ... it is well worth the price since it is precalibrated to the tempratures you need to set.

Photo three is the first calibration setting of the iron, the mark on the face of the iron is where the 225 degree setting is for this iron.
