Brief Description:  Modifications for Skyview upgrade

Received the Avionics kit almost 2 weeks ago and I still have to do most of the inventory. The new kit has the Dynon Skyview which requires a lot of modifications. I had to remove the "old" Instrument Stack Angles and the Inst Stack Supports from the the Panel Base. This was difficult because when I riveted these parts I placed the manufactured heads at the bottom of the Base. It was very ackward to drill out the rivet heads from underneath the base because you couldn't see clearly what you are doing. I did inadvertently enlarged a couple of holes in the process. Riveted nine K-1000-06 nutplates to the aft edge of the Panel Base after match-drilling, final-drilling and dimpling the holes. Drilled holes in the Panel Base for the the back-up battery attach holes using the template provided. Cut an opening in the Base for the USB connector by first drilling #40 holes and then used a step drill in the center of the piece to be removed and then used a nibbler to even the edges. Final-drillled two #30 holes per the plans. Made the Control Module attach and ventilation holes using the ES-50029-AV-5000 Drill Guide. Drilled the Transponder Attach Holes and EMS Module Holes in the F-1201A Firewall Upper. This was quite slow because the Firewall is made of stainless steel and had to use several drill bits to accomplish this task.
