Brief Description:  Prepped Mid Cowl Hinges and Fwd Skin Stiffeners

Match-drilled holes into the F-12116 Mid Cowl Hinges and deburred the holes. Primed both Hinges. I noticed the F-1255 Longerons are slightly long at the front and preventing the bottom nutplate holes from lining up perfectly with corresponding holes in the F-1270 Side Skins, especially on the right side. Filed the fwd ends of the longerons until the holes were properly aligned. I'm perplexed. The screw hole in the side skins that correspond to the nutplate screw holes are not dimpled but the nutplate screw holes in the Firewall Upper are. Not sure if I missed a step. Will research this first befored riveting the Firewall Wall Upper to the Side Skins. Checked the web pages of other RV-12 builders and found that the holes in question are dimpled. Therefore, I dimpled the holes with a #8 die. Deburred the F-1202N Foreward Skin Stiffeners, primed them and later painted them with the hammered silver finish to match the inside of the fuselage.
