Brief Description: Installed the Firewall Shelf and Flo-Scan Bracket
Fabricated an F-1201L Bracket from an aluminum angle. Match-drilled the holes, primed it, attached a nutplate and then riveted it to the Tunnel Ribs and Firewall Bottom. Riveted nutplates to the F-1257 Rudder Pedal Support Channels and the F-1201B Firewall Shelf, and then riveted the Shelf to the Fwd Lower Fuse Assembly. Two rivets to the K1000-08 attach holes could not be reached by the squeezer yoke properly. I manually back-riveted the rivets using a hammer with the manufactured head against a back riveting plate. I then riveted the Firewall Shelf to the F-1201C Firewall Bottom after applying fuel tank sealant to the mating surface. Filled the tooling holes with blind rivets per the plans.
Countersunk the rivet attach holes in the VA-188 Flo-Scan Mount Bracket and then the deburred the edges. Riveted 2 nutplates to the Bracket. Final-drilled the attach holes, primed the part and riveted it to the Fwd Fuse Floor Skin. Sealed the cavity in the W-1233 Steps with fuel tank sealant.
