Brief Description: Worked on Pitot, Spinner and Prop
47-02 and -03: Prepped the FF-1202 Pitot Tube by drilling the tube with a #36 drill bit and then with a #29. Despite being very careful and fequently checking the depth, I penetrated the wall of the tube a little bit. Mounted the FF-1201 Pitot Block to the back of the gear and safety wired the cap screws. Install the Pitot Tube and secured witht the locking screw. Applied a small amount of RTV sealant to the tip of the screw to seal the hole I created in the pitot tube. Will connect the tube to the FF-1216 Pitot Line later. Trimmed and sanded the S-1201 Spinner up to the scribe lines. Removed the areas at the sides of the spinner where the prop hubs will be located. Bolted the propeller to the engine.
Sanded and radiused the tip of the spinner, applied Loctite and installed the S-1207 Bushing.
38-06: Installed the Bottom and Top Cowls and planned to do the final sanding. Some material need to be removed where the Top and Bottom Cowls join but I'm afraid I might over do it. I'll do this step after the prop is secured to the engine to ensure proper fit.
