Brief Description: Used proseal to bond rudder trailing edge.
Today Tanner and I worked on the rudders trailing edge. We mixed up the two part Proseal compound that I bought from Vans for about $15.00. This stuff is very gooey and will stick to anything. It is used in the aircraft industry to bond and seal aluminum components like narrow trailing edges and fuel tanks. It will bond aluminum and make a leak free tank. I will be using this technique when I build my wings with internal fuel tanks.
This is messy stuff so once mixed and spread on both sides of the AEX wedge, I had Tanner hold the skins apart while I inserted it between the skins. We then clecoed the skins to the wedge and aluminum angle. This assembly will sit for a few days to cure before I come back and rivet it all together.
