Brief Description: Finished cleaning and priming HS parts.
Tonight Colten and I finished the majority of the cleaning and priming. The primer fumes were a good fit test and he couldn't smell a thing to he had a good seal; little guy with a big melon. After testing the fit, I let him spray the inside of one of the skins. I am only protecting the rivet lines where there will be mating parts. The skin and ribs are Alclad with good protection and the primer is just some insurance. Most general aviation airplanes are not primed on the inside and last for many, many years especially if stored in a hanger which Miss Diane will be.
I hope to have the priming done for the tail while the weather is still warm enough to leave the garage doors open. If I don't make it, I will need to build a little spray booth and vent it outside through a filter. A little PVC pipe, plastic sheeting and a fart fan is all that will be needed.
