Brief Description: Installed Back Rivet Plate in bench top.
Today I cut out a piece from my bench top to allow my new back rivet plate to sit flush in the top. This is probably overkill in size, but it will be a large surface to back rivet with and being so thick it should give great results. My friend Rich Lindhout owns a machine shop near by and used his surface grinder to make this 3/4" thick piece of carbon steel plate very flat. There are some grinder marks that I was able to take out with 320 grit paper on my orbital sander after these pictures were taken. Thanks Rich for the nice piece of steel for this project.
