Brief Description: Pulled skin off skeleton and pulled off blue plast
This morning I used the angle drill attachment I picked up from Avery's booth at Oshkosh to drill out the previous drilled holes for the inboard rib to spar connections. This will be a handy tool for those hard to reach areas. Bob Avery told me it will be invaluable when I get to the wings.
The rest of the time I spent pulling off the protective blue covering from the skins. I used a soldering iron to cut a thin line in the plastic around the rivet holes. This allowed me to only remove the plastic in the rivet areas and leave the rest of the skin protected.
I now have a lot of deburring, dimpling, priming, and finally, riveting ahead of me. This will be the last time I pull this piece apart before it gets riveted for good.
