Brief Description: Attended SportAir class in Oshkosh
This weekend I attended a two day course put on by EAA and SportAir for Electrical Systems and Avionics training. It was pretty good and will give me a basic understanding of how to wire these systems. I have a lot to learn, but it is a good start.
On Saturday night we took a tour of Sonex Aircraft which is on the north side of the Oshkosh airport. They are a kit manufacturer of simple, economical, and good flying kit aircraft. They use pulled rivets and dont have quite the performance of an RV, but look to be a very good airplane for less money and a little different mission. They do have a new design which is a single place V-tailed jet. It looked like a lot of fun, but isn't very practical for anything but short range, solo flying fun. I bet there is a formation demonstration team flying these at airshows in the near future.
