Brief Description: Matched drilled right longeron and trimmed.
Today I match drilled the right longeron. Then I cut the longerons so they were 3/4" shorter than the forward skins. The forward skins were then clamped to each longeron and match drilled.
The longerons are really just a couple pieces of angle that are bent and twisted to match the fuselage shape. They are important to the structural strength as they are the only pieces that extend virtually the entire length of the airplane less the engine compartment.
