Brief Description: Started assembly of fuselage center section.
Today was another mini-milestone day. I was finally able to fit the F-704 and F-705 bulkheads together with their ribs and bottom skin. This assembly is the fuselage center section which includes the baggage area and seat section of the airframe.
I first ran an 8-32 tap per the instructions through the nutplates for the seat ribs. I then assembled the aft half of the F-704 bulkhead with the F-716 and F-715 seat ribs. The F-705 was then assembled to the F-725, 726, and 727 baggage ribs. The F-776 bottom cabin skin was then clecoed and drilled to the bulkheads and ribs which brought the entire assembly together.
The last thing I did was to bolt the forward half of the F-704 to the aft portion using the wood block spacers I made several weeks ago and secured them together with temporary 7/16" x 4" hardware store bolts.
Justine, Colten, and Tanner all helped a little bit at various times today to move and postition this growing assembly of parts. It went together pretty easy and it looks cool.
