Brief Description:  Started on fuselage center section.

To start with, I used the fly cutter to cut a 1 1/2" diameter hole in two F-716L and R seat ribs. This cutter has a reputation for being dangerous and the material needs to be clamped down very well. I slowed my drill press to the slowest speed possible - 200 rpm. I took my time and used plenty of cutting fluid. The cuts took a while, but the results were good and I didn't lose any fingers which is always nice.

Tonight I finished trimming and beburring the two F-716's I cut this morning. I then fabricated two additional F-711B seat rib access plates using the two from Vans that came with the kit as templates. This mod is polpular with many builders and allows easy access and removal of the stick control arm and linkage. Lastly, I marked the ribs for cutting.
