I finished fitting the new F-779 tail cone skin to the F-711 and F-712 bulkheads. I used the old skin as a template for the tail wheel spring opening.
It was getting late so I didn't work on trimming the skin to avoid bothering my new neighbors. Instead, I cleaned, masked, primed, and painted the WD-409 tail spring mount and the FSTS635-1 (full swivel tail spring). I plan to buy a Bell or Flyboy after market tail wheel fork so I didn't paint the one that came with the kit. The after market ones have better ground clearance.
