Brief Description: Epoxy coated the shop floor today
Today Colten and I put the epoxy down on the shop floor. We did the whole thing (750 sq ft) in less than three hours.
I used the Rustoleum Professional solvent based epoxy kit. I bought two kits from Grainger for $104 each. One kit was supposed cover up to 400 sq ft.
We started out by using brushes to coat along the edges. Once we got a good start, I began to roll it on with a 3/8" nap roller while Colten continued to edge to keep ahead of me. After rolling a three foot wide section by six feet or so I would sprinkle the colored flakes on.
The project when pretty well, but as it drys some lighter colored grey areas showed up. I hope they go away as it cures.
