Brief Description: Finished making and installing CHT sensors
I made CHT sensors that screw into the modified hole between the spark plugs on teh Jabiru head. There is a service bulleting to tap this hole so you can mount a thermo couple to the head using a cap screw. I ended up making 10-32 cap screw witht he thermocouple fixed inside the screw. These should give a more consistent and probably higher reading than having the thermocouple on a ring lead bolted to the head. The actual junction on mine is inside the bolt inside the head.
I also installed the GEN 2 upgrade board to the Oddyssey EFIS. I went fo rthe upgrade as the EFIS screen was blanking whenever the tempurature got above 30C. In discussions with MGL they where confident it was the prcessor board. Turns out it wasn't and it still blanks when it gets hot. But now I know the part number fo rthe screen so i ordered on from eBay. Not a bad outcome. The GEN 2 version is much better and is still being supported with software updates. The screen was pretty blotchy anyway so a new screen will be pretty good.
