Looked at fitting the left flap. From the location of the rear spar bottom skin pre drilled rivet holes it doesn't appear that the hinge I have can have enough edge distance. The holes are forward of centre on the rear spar flange and this doesn't give the hinge edge distance. Either file away the rear spar flange or get a wider hinge. I tried to drill the holes to A5 size off centre but this wasn't consistent. New hinge isn't expensive but it is 7' long so shipping is relatively expensive.
Fittied aileron stop and cleaned some of the lower wing surface. There are some patches of minor corrosion on the skin. Seems to clean up ok.
