Brief Description:  Remove rivets from main spare cap

I started the main wing construction by removing rivets from the main spare in order to apply the upgrade (B) modification to the spar. This involves a number changes to the wing which seem to logically start at the wing spare. The modification drawings, video and guide all eplain the task as if the wing was already complete. The modification was retrofitted to flying 601's from around 2009 following a period when there where a number of inflight structural failures of 601's around the world. While no single cause was identifable cross the accidents, Zenith released the modification to improve the structure and restore confidence int he aircraft. This kit was being built by David at the time and he had purchased the modification kit in 2009 but had begun to install it. I decided to install the modification during the build process so I had to work out how to apply the steps in a slightly different order to achieve the same end result. Which seemed like a better option than build it and then pull it apart again. That will be the plan for the fuselage :)

First step then was to remove the 3/16 solid rivets holding the top spar cap on out about 1800mm. This bit is replaced with a more substantial cap. There is also a wing root mounting plate doubler and changes to the attachment of the inboard nose ribs.
