Brief Description:  Torque Wrench Calibration

Spent the morning cleaning up my large torque wrench. Ten built a calibration machine and calibrated it ready for putting the engine back together next year. I calibrated both the large and small wrenches. I used a method from the internet. Using a 2m beam witht he wrench fixed perpendicular (vertical) in the middle. The beam is balanced and no torgue is applied. Add weight to one end of the beam at 1m distance. Weight is added by filling a bucket with acuratley measured water. Water measure provides calibration traceability. Accuracy is within 10% which is better than you could set the torque on the wrench. I focused the calibration on the lower torques I will be using for the engine.
