It was pretty quick to match drill all the skin holes to #40. The older kit skin has an extra hole on each side at the root and tip which had no matching hole in the underlying newer ribs. Match drilled those. There is a clear plastic coating (another indicator of the kit's age) which I think I'll just remove entirely before dimpling and countersinking. I'll just have to be extra careful while riveting...
