Joel keeps giving me a hard time about not building a tail dragger version! They sure look sleek but I have zero tail time. However, I decided to install the tail spring bracket in the tail cone while I still had access to this area. If I want to do a conversion later, I will simply need to install the match drilled tail spring into the bracket, and change the motor mount with the tail wheel gear. The tail cone are would be the hardest change to make one the plane is finished and painted, so why not? I might lose my mind and decide to convert it some day....
A 4130 tube was used with a ring welded on to make use of the tail spring bracket as an excellent tail tie down ring.
