Installed! I'm impressed with how solid and sturdy this little mod is once its installed. The larger section is fastened with SS screws into the rivnuts that were installed in brackets. One angle bracket is riveted to the floor (I have 4 shiny rivets on each side of the glossy black belly), so I'll have to spot paint some rivet heads. This is not the first time I've messed up on a build sequence :-) A second angle bracket is riveted to the seat longeron with a rivnut also. This allows the chart holder to be easily and quickly removed if access to the rudder cable is needed or something were to get lodge in the chart holder. The design slopes away from the door sill giving a streamlined look and helping you pull your feet in and out with getting in or out. I took these back out to prepare to paint them red. I'll probably cover them with carpet, but I'll paint them anyway just in case I like the bold contrast of the red in the black cockpit.
