Brief Description:  Fuel lines

After Miss Savannah failed her extreme angle of attach fuel flow test and after consulting with Dan Weseman of SPA, I decided to re-plumb the fuel delivery lines. First, I quit fighting the cheap, leaky fuel cutoff valve that came with the kit and subsituted a quality Summit Racing valve that already had AN-6 fittings on each end. Then I ran the fuel line directly to the carb, before the fuel passed through two hard 90's and the electric fuel pump. I put a low pressure, high flow check valve in the line with a T fitting on each side, but ensured a straight, smooth flow to the carb. Now the backup fuel pump draws fuel from the upstream side of the check valve and delivers it back to the line on the down stream side of the check valve. I hope this increases the efficiency of the gravity flow while retaining the pump as a backup or boost feature. Once I solder a resistor and guage line to my new low pressure fuel sender, I should be able to see and measure the results of fuel pressure and flow on my EFIS. Fingers crossed...
