Besides looking better, SPA and WW teach that the addition of inlet rings greatly increases the efficiency of the cowling for cooling. Since its been a summer of long stretches of over 105 degrees, I figure I'll need all the efficiency I can get. I fashioned the rings from a Home Depot coupling for 5" plastic pipe. I cut them in half, then carefully fiberglassed them into place, ensuring that I could seperate the nosebowl halves when it was cured. So far so good...
