I wished I could post a video here!! I was out at the airport at dawn for the first engine run. I couldn't start it at first, really got worried then rechecked the timing and found it was a bit to retarded (kinda like the builder for sure). Anyway, after the adjustment, she fired right up and put down a flawless one hour break in run varying the RPMs every two minutes. Going to full power was nerve wracking, even if it was chocked and tied to my truck, this motor really pulls. I can't wait to see how the bird climbs with this powerhouse up front. After the engine cooled, the oil was changed and replaced with flight oil and oil filter. Another MAJOR milstone passed successfully!!!
