It's amazing how simple sheet metal work is after you've built an entire airplane out of it ;-)) I bought some cheap galvanized sheet metal to put together a temporary air scoop so I could run the engine. The scoop ensures that cooling air is directed down through the fins on the cylinders and heads. Before I fabricate and install the cowling, I need to run the engine for at least an hour to finalize the timing and properly break in the engine. I definitely don't want it to over heat or have a hot spot!
