To ensure the ignition coil stay properly cool, I fabricated a cover over them to help fend off some radiant heat. I also attached a 1" flange to allow cool air from the top of the engine baffling to wash over the coils and exit out the lower pressure side of the cowling... kinda like a chimney. I also fabricated a lid that screws on with rivnuts so an inspection panel can be removed to inspect all the electrical connections involving the coils.
