I'm finally happy with my cowling, what, 5.0 design? Since the mighty Corvair is 4 inches wider than the firewall my Savannah has always had a bit of a "pinched" looked. I finally figured out how to fair the cowling further back on the fuselage to take some of the pinch or taper out of it. Plus I dropped it down to connect and support the new, deeper exit air belly pan.
Bonus: I've learned how to use a sheet metal shrinker and stretcher to make compound curves. Now just need to finish up the cowling access doors, paint it, and call it good! About time!
