Finally!! In spite of all my attempts to make a "sleeker" design, the long term cooling issues I've been having has finally been solved with a dropped lower cowl with a 2" lip to create sufficient low pressure. Turns out I just needed to provide more exit area to get things flowing. What about the drag? Apparently it is only visual, I have not noticed any difference in cruise and top speed. So there you go, once again it would seem that you just can't eye fluid dynamics !!
