Brief Description:  Cowl fiberglass work

Here we go! I sized and precut the fiberglass cloth in anticipation of the fiberglass layups. I also had a friend with a wood lathe make me a round disc that is exactly 5.5" that I could use as a mold for making the inlet rings. I glassed a circle around the wooden mold, I sure hope my release agent works so I can get the cured ring off the mold!! After removing from the mold I'll the glass them into place in the nosebowl. I'm still going to have to figure out how the re-cut the nosebowl in two after I'm done with the fiberglass work and install flanges and fasteners. Oh well, I'll worry about that when I get to it ;-))))

I started with four layers of cloth. Now I'll let it harden and see what a mess I've made. I'm anticipating turning it over and using a power sander to smooth, round, and fair things out. We'll see !!
