GRT makes a nice ADS-B solution and an apporpriate GPS. The ADS-B also has a serial port expander to add two more ports to my EFIS. With all the IFR avionics, I've used up every available port. Now I'm learning to make my own coax cables to connect my antennaes... I've got a comm antennae, and nav vor/glideslope antennae, a transponder antennae, an ELT antennae, and a ADS-B in/out antennae. I'll look like a flying porcupine!
I used my laptop to program all the switches and devices on my VPX power supply, it allowed my to fire up the EFIS for the first time. What a really nice system!!! I got a wire mixed up somewhere so when I turned the NAV radio switch on, the boost fuel pump came on! Rather than chase the wiring issue down, I simply reprogramed the switch assignment on my laptop, niiiiiiiice!
