Brief Description:  Outer flaperons painted

I finally finished painting the outer flaperons... I faired in the tips as they had a significant gap between the tip and the sheet metal. I temporailty installed them on the wing to get the same line for the white trim. I acutally painted them twice! First time I took one extra second and hit what I thought was a holiday, caused a drip!! Amazing how one second can cost you hours of extra time. Then I painted over the drip very thickly and kept turning the flaperon, causing the paint and drip to flow out smoothly, voila I am a genius!! NOT !!! This paint really doesn't like to be thick, so the next morning I discovered a huge canker sore on the tip, the paint blister had swollen over a 1/4 of and inch and was full of tiny bubbles :-((( So..... I sanded it all over and painted it a second time, this time it was perfect! I woke up the next morning and found that a bug had decided to die right in the most obvious place, he even spread himself out in his last moments. I lightly sanded out his remains and discovered he left a fossilized imprint. Should I sand it all off and paint a third time??? NOPE... buffed it as best I could and left it... just another story to tell ;-)
