Holy cow that's a lot of pieces!!! I forgot to take a pic with all the parts scattered, I nearly have as many clecoes in this one door as I had in an entire wing! Somebody really smart figured out how all this little pieces and bits come together to make a really light and solid door. I wasn't sure how I needed to paint the frame (in individual pieces or as a complete unit) so I had to do a trial assembly first. Next I'll disassemble so I can prime the interior where aluminum is on aluminum to prevent corrosion as I have the entire project, then I'll reassemble and paint. I was please to see that by taping of the lexan I can paint the door as a complete unit. Otherwise, how do you paint the rivets if you paint all the part before? Plus, paint little bits and parts is a real pain, they spin around on the holder wire when the air pressure hits them... My garage floor is now the third shade of sealer (black, white, now red ;)
