Our son just got married in New York City in July, so my wife and I drove up for the wedding, then looped up through Maine to Nova Scotia ( I was blessed to enjoy an incredible sunset flight over Novia Scotia with fellow builder Dan Tonner in his Savannah- thanks Canada Dan!), across Canada, down into the Great Lakes and stopped in at OshKosh for about six hours... really wetted my passion to fly my bird with my good friend Charles next year. Can you imagine flying half way across the country to the world's largest fly-in with an aircraft you crafted with your own hands!! Oshkosh was just incredible... I also had the opportunity to hang out with Valter for a few hours at ICP's booth. Jim Madison had his beautiful polish Savannah there.
Here's a sneak peak as I painted the top of the wings, peeled back the tape before the paint set to prevent a hard edge where they meet. After a 24 hour cure, I'll mask the painted portion, turn the wing over and paint the bottom.
