I painted the wing tips in a bright white color, I think it will really stand out against the "wet red" of the rest of the wing. After much deliberation about the final design, I made a jig to trace the curvature of the wingtip, marking the new white paint with an eraseable marker to transfer the same curve line about 14 inches in or so. The blue tape is finish line tape to created a sharp line between the two colors.
I will have to paint the rest of the wing in two session, one side at a time since I don't have a "wing rotisserie." I plan to follow the natural line made by the seam in the wing skin just after of the wing spar to tap of the painted section and rotate the wing to paint the bottom side.
