Started work on the Battery Box. I decided to construct a battery box similar to the design by Rick Spriggle he used on his Sonex. With this design, the complete front of the battery box is removable. With this design, the top and sides were made from one piece of 0.032" aluminum. The part was cut to shape and then the required bends were made. The front and top were made from a second piece of 0.032" aluminum. The part was cut to shape and then bent to the required shape. Hinge stock for the sides were cut to size and pilot holes were drilled. One of the hinges was placed, drilled, deburred, dimpled and finally riveted in place.
