Brief Description: Working on Fiberglass Tail Tips
Worked on second fiberglass tail tip. The tail tip was sanded to shape, placed on the tail and then predrilled. The tip was then removed and rivnuts were installed on the tail aluminum flange. The fiberglass tips were countersunk for countersunk screws. This worked much better then dome head screws. The first tail tip was removed and epoxy was placed in the holes so that they can be re-drilled and countersunk at a better location.
