I obtained a gallon of Alodine 1201 from Mark Doble. Parts were previously cleaned and the parts were dipped into the Alodine solution for 5 minutes. The results were very poor. After investigating the problem it was discovered that the shelf life is 12 months from container opening. I've revised my corrosion protection strategy and will only protect mating surfaces.
