After a lot of work trying to get the flap motor installed I finally reallized that the flap control handle would not allow the motor to be mounted where I wanted. I made a new handle out of a scrap piece of 0.125" aluminum. The shape is not correct, but it allowed the correct placement of the mounting holes. The flap motor was mounted and found to have the correct flap extension (i.e. 30 degrees). The flap handle was removed so I can use it as a template to make the final part.
