Brief Description: Second NACA Air Vent and start Flap Tube
The second NACA Duct for the right side was installed. The hole placement was identical to the left side. The hole was cut useing a small Dremel cut-off wheel and then cleaned up with files. Three rivet holes were drilled to supplement the Silicone adhesive. Everything was removed and deburred. Silicone Adhesive was added to the NACA Duct and it was riveted in place. Small metal backers were placed on the backside of the plastic NACA Duct to prevent the rivets from pulling thorugh. I next started working on the Flap tube and Flap tube phenolic blocks. Paint stripper was applied to the areas of the tube the are captured by the phenolic blocks. Once the paint was removed the area was cleaned up with fine sandpaper. I Spent the remainder of the day slowly fitting the phenolic blocks.
