The plans call for adding a 1", 30 degree lip at the exhaust exit. This can be made from aluminum or fiberglass. Since I have all the fiberglass supplies, I decided to make this out of fiberglass. An alum form was made and attached to each cowl. Three layers of fiberglass were added with the appropriate epoxy.
