I ran into some serious problems today. When trying to create the opening for the exhaust, I determined that there was not enough space, not even close. After looking around the internet I found that Rick Spriggle had to make a cowl modification to get his exhaust to fit. So, with the body saw in hand, I cut out the existing exhaust tunnel side. I then removed about a 5 cm section. The old piece was then expoxied back in and fiberglass was added to support this rework. After completing the fiberglass work, the cowl exhaust opening on the other side was cleaned up to final size.
