An AN833-6 90degree bulkhead fitting was installed in the frewall at the location where the plans show a hole and grommet. The AN bulkhead fitting provides a much cleaner installation and I used a steel fitting for fire safety. Once the bulkhead fitting was installed, a 3/8" aluminum fuel tube was installed from the tank fittings to the bulkhead fitting. A small jog in the tubing was required to clear the rudder pedals. Once the correct size and shape was achieved, flare fittings were placed on the tubing and a 37 degree flare was put in the tubing. The tube was then re-installed on the fittings and tightened down. On the engine side of the firewall, the gascolator location was examined. I decided to use a different gascolator I had to design a new mounting bracket. The bracket was cut to shape, the holes were drilled and then the part was bent on the brake to account for the 30 degree firewall. The bracket was then located on the firewall, drilled and cleco'd in place. The holes were deburred and then the bracket was riveted in place.
