Brief Description:  Door frames

Spent most of the day trying to gete the pilot side frame correct. The pre bent 1/2" alum tubing was not quite the right shape for my opening. I used my template of plywood and filled the 1/2" tubing full with sugar. The sugar helps the tubing from crimping while your bending. The other option was to get a tube bender.
I got the correct shape and mounted the tube frame to the piano hinge that is already rivetd to the door sill. I shimed around the frame in the opening so that I was sure of clearance for closing. I then used duct tape to set the bubble door and align as required. Once aligned with the proper or required overlap, I back drilled a couple of holes in the hinge. Clecoed and held there until I could drill out the rest. Now I marked the perimeter overlap around the opening. Next I can mark and cut the gussests that are required in the top corners as well as add a top strip of .025 Aluminum to th etop of the door.
The instructions for the bubble doors I would have to say are incomplete. As well th edrawings do not rflect the bubble doors they are still showing the flat panel doors.
